Victorian Palliative and End of Life Care Framework 2026-2036

Launched at the PCV Summit 2026 – Victoria’s Palliative Care Framework sets a clear direction for palliative care across our state, embedding priority actions into service planning, policies, and practice. It champions earlier conversations about end of life and forward planning, and recognises the need for flexible care models that enable more people to receive care at home and in their communities. As our population ages and informal supports become less available, the Framework supports better coordination between services and more consistent care for patients and families — affirming that high-quality, compassionate palliative care is essential to upholding the dignity and choice of every Victorian at the end of life.
